Where facts come from

Every price, rule and policy on this site comes from the organisation responsible for it: the hotel's own website for its dog policy or parking charge, BCP Council for car park tariffs and beach rules, the airport and operators for parking and transport. Each fact links to that source.

Booking sites and listings are not used as a source for a hotel's policies, because they are often out of date or wrong. Where they disagree with the hotel, we go with the hotel and say so.

What we leave out

If an official source does not state something, we say "not stated" or leave it out. We do not estimate fees, guess at rules or fill gaps from forums. Where official sources contradict each other, the page says so.

Keeping it current

Each page shows the date its facts were last checked. Seasonal details, such as car park tariffs, which change between summer and winter rates, and the summer dog restrictions on beaches, are re-checked before each season starts. Hotel policies are re-checked every three months.

How pages are written

Pages are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools, working only from the sources linked on each page, and checked against those sources before publishing. We do not publish reviews, opinions about a hotel's quality, or accounts of stays that did not happen.

Corrections

If a hotel, operator or council has changed something we list, the source we link to is the place to confirm it, and the page will be updated at its next check.
