Every parking option at Bournemouth Airport
Four official car parks sit next to the terminal, all self-park: you keep your keys, and number-plate cameras lift the barrier (Bournemouth Airport car parking). Car Park 1, Premium Car Park 1 and Car Park 3 are pre-book only. Car Park 2 takes both pre-booked and drive-up cars. One off-site car park, Parley Lane on Merritown Lane, runs a shuttle.
The example column is one week, entering at 08:00 on Thursday 12 November and leaving at 18:00 on Thursday 19 November 2026, priced on the airport's own booking site on 11 October 2026. Walk times are the airport's own figures from its booking pages.

How Bournemouth Airport parking prices work
There is no fixed price list for pre-booked parking. The airport's booking site quotes a price for your exact entry and exit times, and that price moves with demand: the airport says to "book as early as possible to secure the best rates", and its FAQ notes that if you booked during a sale and later change dates, the new rate applies. The prices below were all quoted on the same day, 11 October 2026, for different trips.

Three patterns show in those quotes:
- Car Park 2 and Car Park 3 are within a few pounds of each other. Car Park 3 was cheaper for the short break and the fortnight, Car Park 2 for the two single weeks.
- School holidays cost more. The October half-term week was £20.47 more in Car Park 2 than the November term-time week of similar length.
- Flex adds £5. In every quote, the Flex version of each car park cost exactly £5 more than the standard one. Flex can be changed or cancelled up to 2 hours before entry, and if your flight is cancelled at the last minute you can claim a full refund by emailing within 24 hours of the cancellation (car park terms). Standard bookings can be changed or cancelled up to 24 hours before, and some promotional rates cannot be changed at all.
The drive-up and Parley Lane columns are worked out from each operator's published tariff, counting every started 24 hours as a day, so check the exact charge before you rely on it.
Resellers sell the same official car parks. Holiday Extras, for example, showed £117.00 for Car Park 2 and £119.40 for Car Park 3 for 8 to 15 October 2026, prices it quoted on 9 August 2026 (Holiday Extras). A booking made through a reseller is changed or cancelled through that reseller, under its own terms, not through the airport.
What is the cheapest parking at Bournemouth Airport?
For a week or longer, it is a toss-up between pre-booked Car Park 2 or 3 and Parley Lane, and the gap depends on the dates. In the quotes above, Parley Lane matched Car Park 2 for a November week (£102 against £102.38), beat it by about £21 over half-term, and was £11.50 cheaper than Car Park 3 over a fortnight. For a short break, the official car parks were cheaper: £67.50 in Car Park 3 against £78 at Parley Lane.
The most expensive way to park is to arrive without a booking. Car Park 2's drive-up tariff is £30 for 4 to 12 hours, £50 for 12 to 24 hours, and £50 for each extra 24 hours or part of one, which is roughly four times the pre-booked price for a week.
Staying the night before at a hotel can also cover the parking. The Avon Causeway in Hurn charges £50 a week to leave your car with a night's stay; the airport hotels page compares it with the other nearby hotels.
Car Park 2 or Car Park 3: which is better?
Both are on the airport site and within a 10-minute walk, and they cost about the same. The differences are practical:
- Car Park 3 is the airport's "closest parking to Arrivals", with a 5 to 7 minute walk. It has its own entrance: don't drive into Car Parks 1 and 2, but use the barrier next to the terminal and follow the signs.
- Car Park 2 is a 3 to 10 minute walk from the terminal, shares its entrance with Car Park 1, directly opposite the Departures building, and is the only one you can use without a booking.
- Blue Badge bays are in Premium Car Park 1 and Car Park 2, with only a very limited number in Car Park 3.
Parley Lane Parking, the off-site option
Parley Lane is on Merritown Lane in Hurn, which it describes as half a mile from the terminal building (about 1 mile by road on OpenStreetMap routing). Its tariff, the same every day of the week, is £30 for the first 24 hours, £16 a day for days 2 to 4, and £6 a day from day 5 (Parley Lane).
- The courtesy shuttle runs from 04:00 to midnight and must be pre-booked. Outside those hours, it suggests dropping passengers and luggage at the terminal before parking.
- The gates are locked from midnight to 04:00; you can still get in or out by calling the security number on its website for a code.
- It is barrier-free, with number-plate cameras and 24-hour camera security, and you keep your keys.
- On your return, collect your bags, then call the driver number in your confirmation email.
Meet and greet, EV charging and large vehicles
- Meet and greet: the official car parks are all self-park. The airport says there is "no requirement for you to hand over your keys", and it sells no valet product.
- EV charging: "There are currently no electric charging points at our airport," in the airport's own words.
- Height and size: no height limit at any entrance or exit. Bays are 2.4m by 4.8m, and a vehicle that takes up more than one bay can be charged for the extra space at the drive-up rate.
- Security: all four car parks are Park Mark accredited, with CCTV and security patrols.
- Arriving early or late: bookings have a 2-hour grace period either side of the booked times. Anything outside that is charged at the overstay rate, paid at the exit barrier by card or phone.
If you are only dropping someone off or collecting them, the £8 Express Drop-off area applies instead: the airport drop-off page covers it.
Frequently asked questions
Is there free parking at Bournemouth Airport?
No. Every car park on the airport site charges, including for drop-off and pick-up, and there is no free waiting area outside the terminal. Blue Badge holders pay normal car park charges, apart from a concession in the drop-off area.
Can I park at Bournemouth Airport without booking?
Yes, but only in Car Park 2, which is drive-up and pay on exit for stays over 4 hours. Take a ticket at the barrier and pay by cash or card at a pay station, or by card or phone at the exit. The other three car parks are pre-book only, and the airport can sell out a product for a given date.
How late can I book airport parking?
Some products can be booked up to 2 hours before you arrive at the car park, according to the airport's FAQ, though it recommends booking well ahead and does not guarantee availability at short notice.
Is there an NHS discount for Bournemouth Airport parking?
The airport's own car parking and booking pages mention no NHS or other standing discount (checked 11 October 2026). Sale prices are offered at times, and promotional rates can come with tighter change and cancellation rules.
What if I booked through a third-party website?
Contact that company, not the airport. The airport can only amend or cancel bookings made on its own site, and a third party's cancellation terms can differ from the airport's.
