Every way from the airport into Bournemouth
The airport has no railway station, no coach service and, at present, no car hire (Bournemouth Airport transport page). That leaves two weekday bus routes, taxis and bikes.

Buses run towards the airport only before 07:30 and away from it only in the afternoon and early evening. For an arriving passenger, the 737 works only on a weekday landing early enough to clear Arrivals before 13:35, 16:20 or 18:00.
How do I get from Bournemouth station to the airport?
On a weekday morning, the 737 leaves Bournemouth station from Stand 2 at 05:56 and 06:42, reaching the airport at 06:31 and 07:21. At any other time, and all weekend, the choice is a taxi from the station or a lift. The airport is about 5.8 miles from the station by road, an estimated 11 minutes without traffic (routed on OpenStreetMap, so allow longer at busy times).
A taxi or a lift into the terminal goes through the Express Drop-off area in Car Park 1, which costs £8 for up to 30 minutes, as cars cannot stop outside the terminal. The airport drop-off page explains how it works.
Taxis and private transfers
PRC Streamline is the airport's official taxi and private hire firm. It has desks in the Arrivals building, takes bookings by phone, online or through its app, and lets you pre-pay or pay the driver. It says you know your fare before you travel, and it has saloons and 6, 7 and 8 seat vehicles for families or groups with luggage.
No fare from the airport to Bournemouth town is published by the airport or by PRC, so this page gives none. Ask for a quote when you book. Road distances, estimated on OpenStreetMap routing without traffic, are about 5.8 miles to the station and 6.7 miles to the Square, around 11 and 14 minutes.
If you are staying near the airport rather than in town, the airport hotels page lists the nearest hotels and their drive times.
Driving instead
For a driver, the airport is signposted off the A338: the airport's directions say to take the B3073 exit, about five miles along the A338 from the Ringwood end, and follow the signs. Parking for the length of a trip starts at about £68 for a pre-booked short break and £102 for a week in the examples on the airport parking page. Once you're in town, Bournemouth town centre parking covers where to leave the car.
Which airlines fly from Bournemouth?
Ryanair, Jet2 and TUI run the scheduled and holiday flights, and easyJet flies to Geneva in the ski season. The airport's own destination guide, issue 16 dated 30 September 2026, lists 48 destinations in 19 countries, including year-round flights to Edinburgh, Malaga, Alicante, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Malta, Krakow and Wroclaw, plus seasonal routes and charters to Lapland and the Caribbean (Bournemouth Airport destinations guide). Days and seasons vary by airline, so check the operator's own schedule.
